Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead embedded system architecture and technical efforts across the product life cycle.
- Architect, implement, and test embedded firmware and software on FPGAs, microcontrollers, microprocessors, and mixed-signal platforms.
- Develop solutions with hardware engineers, project managers, technicians, multidisciplinary teams, and customers.
- Support manufacturing and qualification testing, troubleshoot board-level issues, assess failures for root cause, and identify corrective actions.
- Perform technical trade studies and evaluate technology improvements for embedded system architectures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
- At least 4+ years of experience in embedded system design and test, or 2+ years with a master's degree.
- Understanding of architecture trade-offs among FPGA, SoC, microcontroller, RTOS, and bare-metal targets.
- Proven embedded software or firmware programming experience in C, C++, or assembly languages.
- Experience with communication protocols such as UART, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and CAN bus.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debugging and testing methods.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Resident of or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville–North Alabama area.
- U.S. citizenship and a Final Secret Clearance, or eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Preferred experience includes embedded operating systems, GNU/Linux kernel drivers, VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, Xilinx FPGA and SoC families and tools, FPGA or software verification, RISC processor architectures, memory and caching architectures, high-speed interfaces, and electronics or PCBA design.
