Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack software architectures and design patterns for missile-system applications.
- Develop, integrate, test, troubleshoot, field, support, and maintain software products and embedded or embedded-adjacent applications.
- Participate in technical, design, and code reviews and support decisions on tools, frameworks, and development approaches.
- Mentor junior software engineers and support software development teams on multidisciplinary projects.
- Support flight-test operations and post-test analysis.
- Communicate frequently with customers and team members.
- Ensure software meets modularity, reusability, portability, maintainability, coding-standard, safety, cybersecurity, and RMF requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- At least 4 years of relevant technical experience.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
- Experience developing, integrating, testing, or troubleshooting embedded software or embedded-adjacent applications that interface with or support embedded systems.
- Mid-level experience with C/C++.
- Experience with Python or Java, software configuration management principles and techniques, software quality engineering concepts, and software standards and practices.
- Experience supporting software development teams on multidisciplinary projects.
- Preferred qualifications include embedded missile, aerospace, or weapons-systems development; real-time embedded systems; open systems and MOSA; containerization, CI/CD pipelines, microservices; guidance and control algorithms; navigation systems; NOMS or JMPS; relevant sensors; MBSE; and SysML.
- Residence in North Alabama or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville-North Alabama area.
