Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop common, reusable Java components and services for a rates reference data application.
- Build high-performance, low-latency, reliable, scalable, and high-volume applications and microservices.
- Contribute to system design decisions and evaluate and productionize proofs of concept.
- Apply engineering analysis to estimate volume and compute requirements and identify implementation limitations or workarounds.
- Maintain strong unit test coverage and follow prescribed development, testing, continuous integration, and compliance practices.
- Provide post-release assistance to business, development, and support teams, including third-line support during core trading hours.
- Collaborate with end users and business stakeholders in a global electronic trading environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience, including expertise with Spring or another dependency injection framework.
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining highly scalable, real-time, low-latency, high-volume microservices.
- Experience with real-time messaging middleware such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Solace, or Tibco.
- Experience developing multithreaded applications and strong fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, object-oriented programming, architecture, algorithms, and problem solving.
- Experience deploying and debugging applications on UNIX/Linux.
- Preferred experience with capital markets and financial derivatives, system performance tuning, low-latency Java programming, Oracle or other RDBMS technologies, MongoDB, in-memory datastores or caches, CI/CD pipelines, and unit and end-to-end testing.
- Strong communication, analytical, teamwork, adaptability, and goal-oriented skills, including the ability to work with business users and distributed global teams.

- Full-time position.
- Base salary range of $120,800.00 to $170,800.00.
