Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review or debug code written by others.
  • Lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted software development practices and validate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Establish secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and other validation standards.
  • Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
  • Promote approved frameworks, tools, reusable patterns, automation, and best practices across the engineering community.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and contribute to engineering-community knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and applying responsible AI practices to sensitive data and secure workflows.
  • Experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.
  • Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems.
  • Practical cloud-native experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include AWS certification, React and micro-frontend UI development, BFF patterns, Java and Spring Boot, Claude or Copilot, PostgreSQL, Neptune or graph development, Figma, Lucid, and data visualization or reporting frameworks.
