Responsibilities
- Analyze Arm architecture and IP features and determine their impact on software components and tools.
- Develop strategies to promote Arm technology adoption across software ecosystems and resolve implementation issues.
- Analyze deployed software solutions and major open-source projects such as Linux.
- Deliver software improvements to relevant open-source projects for Arm customers.
- Collaborate with Arm OS, OEM, and silicon partners to drive software standards.
- Build software paradigms on Arm reference hardware designs.
- Profile system performance and develop optimization approaches.
- Lead validation of software functionality, security, and safety.
- Help develop, optimize, and deliver software supporting Arm intellectual property and new market segments.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Arm-based computer architecture and the range of SoCs and devices built using Arm hardware IP.
- Experience with software profiling, instrumentation, and optimization for real-world applications and workloads such as AI stacks, runtime compilers, and multimedia processing.
- Strong understanding of complex multi-component computing systems and demonstrable low-level OS or device-driver development or integration experience.
- Authoritative knowledge of C or C++ development, including application, workload, and compiler optimization.
- Understanding of rigorous software testing and designing software for testability.
- Experience taking complex software from concept through production and maintenance.
- Experience with Android, ChromeOS, or Windows software and systems is preferred.
- Experience with Linux, Linux distributions, cloud/edge applications, and networking software is preferred.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence software stacks, algorithms, and tooling is preferred.
- Knowledge of multimedia system designs involving GPUs, compositing display processors, and image signal processing is preferred.
- Familiarity with system-on-a-chip architectures is preferred.
