Responsibilities
- Define software solutions and strategies that enable adoption of Arm technology across software ecosystems and computing segments.
- Analyze Arm architecture, IP features, existing software components, tools, and deployed open-source solutions such as Linux.
- Deliver software improvements to relevant open-source projects for Arm customers to use as reference implementations.
- Work with Arm operating-system, OEM, and silicon partners to establish standards and optimize software across Arm’s partner model.
- Build software paradigms on Arm reference hardware designs and profile system performance to identify improvements.
- Lead validation of software functionality, security, and safety.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Arm-based computer architecture and the range of SoCs and devices built using Arm hardware IP.
- Experience with software profiling, instrumentation, and optimization for real-world workloads such as AI stacks, runtime compilers, and multimedia processing.
- Strong understanding of complex multi-component computing systems, with demonstrable low-level operating-system or device-driver development or integration experience.
- Authoritative knowledge of C or C++ and proficiency optimizing applications, workloads, and compilers.
- Understanding of rigorous software testing and designing software for testability.
- Experience taking complex software from concept through production and maintenance.
- Preferred experience with Android, ChromeOS, Windows, Linux, cloud or edge applications, networking software, AI software stacks, multimedia systems, GPUs, display processors, image signal processing, or system-on-a-chip architectures.
