Responsibilities
- Design and develop low-level software for Linux, Android, and related userspace components.
- Architect, develop, and optimize core operating-system subsystems for performance, power efficiency, and security.
- Lead complex technical investigations into performance, optimization, and protection issues.
- Lead code reviews, technical discussions, design decisions, and upstream open-source collaborations.
- Partner with Arm architecture and silicon teams to support new architectural features.
- Mentor and technically guide junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C and C++ and strong knowledge of operating-system internals, including memory management, scheduling, or virtualization.
- Experience with software profiling, instrumentation, and optimization.
- Experience leading technical discussions, code reviews, and upstream open-source collaborations.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, interpersonal, written, and spoken English skills.
- Familiarity with Android internals and at least one CPU architecture, preferably Armv8-A or newer, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for automation, analysis, and testing is desirable.
- Familiarity with Rust or another memory-safe language is desirable.
- Understanding of modern compiler toolchains, particularly LLVM-based technologies, is desirable.
- Exposure to technical leadership, project coordination, or line-management development is desirable.
