Responsibilities
- Design, test, debug, and maintain reference application processor firmware and low-level system software.
- Develop software stacks and associated test code for Arm reference platforms and future Arm devices.
- Create automation solutions to reduce manual testing and development work.
- Analyze industry specifications and roadmap requirements, break down tasks, and support project planning and implementation.
- Contribute to open-source upstreaming, maintenance, and community development processes.
- Perform software profiling, instrumentation, optimization, and testing across software models, development boards, and shipping products.
Requirements
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills, including implementing significant functionality and analyzing and fixing complex defects.
- Demonstrated experience in software testing or software development.
- Expertise in application and low-level systems, including system architecture, operating systems, firmware fundamentals, bootloaders, and device drivers.
- Strong debugging skills and knowledge of test methodologies, continuous integration, and test automation.
- Strong written and spoken English and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Python, shell scripting, Rust, open-source development, profiling, instrumentation, optimization, Security Development Lifecycle practices, and software development lifecycle experience.
