Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design, scalability, and reliability of build and pipeline systems across multiple services and platforms.
- Optimize build times, test coverage, reporting, and developer feedback cycles.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for CI systems.
- Improve engineering productivity through tooling, automation, and development practices.
- Drive the vision and strategy for continuous integration and developer productivity infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor CI engineers and promote technical ownership and excellence.
- Partner with engineering teams and leadership to align CI systems with broader product and platform goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience driving and leading engineering efforts in continuous integration, build systems, or developer productivity.
- Strong background with modern build systems such as GitHub, Buildkite, Artifactory, or Bazel.
- Familiarity with cloud-native environments including AWS and Kubernetes, as well as infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Strong programming background in Python, Kotlin, Java, or a similar language.
- Experience managing build systems and frameworks for large monorepos; Bazel experience is preferred.
- Ability to make technical decisions, balance long-term vision with short-term impact, and solve complex systems challenges.
- Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- Active open-source contribution or experience with large-scale software development at a leading technology company is a plus.
- Interest in AI tools and emerging technologies is valued.
