Responsibilities
- Build and maintain enterprise websites, applications, content management systems, rules engines, finance calculators, and other digital products using Java.
- Define and execute development strategy, estimate tasks, conduct code reviews, and improve engineering practices.
- Lead technical delivery in Agile sprint teams and participate in planning, standups, demonstrations, and incremental releases.
- Mentor, develop, and line-manage developers on the team.
- Collaborate with account directors, creative teams, business analysts, frontend developers, QA testers, scrum masters, and clients.
- Use Claude Code and other AI tooling to accelerate software delivery, create tests and documentation, and improve AI development workflows.
- Research emerging technology trends and create clear technical documentation and prompts for AI tools.
Requirements
- Hands-on Java development experience, including Java 17–21, Spring, Spring Boot, Maven, and Adobe AEM.
- Experience building web-based products and working with REST APIs, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, OAuth, Redis, Docker, AWS Infrastructure, Terraform, Git, GitLab, and Groovy scripting.
- Experience with unit testing using JUnit, Hamcrest, and Mockito, plus JMeter and Bruno.
- Experience with code reviews, technical documentation, Agile team delivery, estimation, and sprint ceremonies.
- Experience managing and mentoring employees or developers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, unambiguous prompts for AI tools.
