Responsibilities
- Define and improve integration testing and Verification & Validation processes, standards, metrics, and best practices.
- Own test strategy for software-hardware integration, interface validation, system behavior, and end-to-end verification.
- Create test plans, test cases, reusable procedures, and requirements traceability artifacts.
- Perform manual, exploratory, system-level, integration-lab, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for defects spanning software, hardware, and interfaces.
- Collaborate with the SDET on test automation, framework design, and CI/CD and DevSecOps pipeline support.
- Partner with engineering and program stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and promote shift-left quality.
- Support formal qualification testing, field demonstrations, operational assessments, and customer engagements.
- Analyze and present quality data for process improvement, release readiness, and risk management.
- Travel approximately 25–50% to customer sites, integration events, and field activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field, with additional experience considered in lieu of the degree.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, system testing, or Verification & Validation.
- Experience establishing or significantly maturing integration testing, system-level testing, or V&V processes and standards.
- Deep knowledge of quality assurance principles, test methodologies, risk-based testing, and quality best practices.
- Hands-on experience with manual, exploratory, and system-level testing of software-hardware integrated systems.
- Understanding of systems engineering, interface management, and integration and verification processes.
- Experience with test management, collaboration tools, and requirements traceability.
- Ability to influence technical and program stakeholders without direct authority and collaborate with independent development teams.
- Experience supporting DoD or USSOCOM programs, unmanned systems, autonomy, sensor fusion, MOSA architectures, HWIL, integration labs, or sensor test environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD or DevSecOps pipelines is preferred.
- ISTQB Advanced certification or equivalent and formal systems/V&V training are preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance and SCI eligibility.
- Willingness to travel 25–50% and work in fast-paced, sometimes classified environments.
