Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade GitHub Enterprise Server platforms for global development teams.
- Create scalable architecture patterns supporting CI/CD pipelines, developer productivity, and software engineering excellence.
- Lead GitHub Enterprise Server deployment, configuration, administration, optimization, modernization, and migration initiatives.
- Design high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, identity, security, monitoring, ticketing, and infrastructure integrations.
- Perform infrastructure sizing, capacity planning, repository and usage analysis, growth forecasting, and scaling recommendations.
- Conduct system health and performance reviews, establish baselines and operational KPIs, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Design monitoring, observability, automation, and operational excellence frameworks for Linux-based infrastructure.
- Lead root-cause analysis and remediation for critical platform incidents.
- Provide architectural governance, technical standards, advisory support, and best-practice guidance to platform and DevOps teams.
- Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, strategic planning, and modernization discussions with technical and executive stakeholders.
- Mentor engineers, administrators, and architects on enterprise DevOps platform architecture.
- Drive adoption of platform engineering practices that improve developer experience, productivity, and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10–15+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, platform engineering, or solution architecture roles.
- At least five years of deep, hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise Server.
- Strong experience supporting large-scale, on-premises GitHub deployments and environments with thousands of users and large repository footprints.
- Expertise in platform sizing, capacity planning, usage analysis, growth forecasting, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization.
- Strong experience with Linux administration, networking fundamentals, load balancing technologies, storage architectures, high availability and disaster recovery design, and security and identity integrations.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive, business, and technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management, consulting, advisory, and technical leadership skills.
- Preferred experience leading enterprise DevOps transformation initiatives and architecting hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Preferred knowledge of software development lifecycle best practices and experience integrating source control platforms with CI/CD ecosystems.
- Preferred familiarity with infrastructure automation, Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, performance diagnostics, observability platforms, and monitoring tools.
- Preferred background supporting global engineering organizations.
