Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain production machine learning models and computer vision pipelines for jet engine inspection.
  • Collaborate with software, product, and aviation domain teams to integrate computer vision capabilities into production software.
  • Drive the model lifecycle from data review and training through evaluation, selection, and production release.
  • Build data feedback loops to identify and ingest operational data and edge cases into retraining pipelines.
  • Prototype and benchmark computer vision and predictive features for AI-assisted inspection products.
  • Translate research concepts into clean, modular, production-grade code.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing and deploying machine learning and computer vision models in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of computer vision architectures including object detection, semantic segmentation, instance segmentation, and feature matching using PyTorch.
  • Strong Python software engineering skills, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, unit and integration testing, and maintainable, scalable code.
  • Practical experience with model versioning, tracking, and serving frameworks such as Docker, ONNX Runtime, DVC, MLflow, or Weights & Biases.
  • Preferred experience in aviation, aerospace, non-destructive testing, spatial inspection, or heavy industrial automation.
  • Preferred familiarity with 3D data representations and libraries such as Open3D, PyTorch3D, or Gaussian Splatting.
  • Preferred experience fusing vision data with sensor time-series, spatial data, or 3D models.
  • Preferred background in time-series forecasting or anomaly detection for predictive failure analysis.
  • Preferred experience optimizing deep learning models for edge computing or low-latency environments using technologies such as TensorRT, OpenVINO, or CUDA optimization.
