Responsibilities
- Transform prioritized AI opportunities into functional, reliable, and scalable technical solutions within product pods.
- Translate product and business requirements into implementable AI solution designs and assess feasibility, data needs, dependencies, effort, and expected outcomes.
- Design AI solutions covering architecture, data, models, evaluation, integration, scalability, security, and user experience.
- Build production-ready prototypes and components, and develop, test, integrate, and deploy models, AI agents, recommendation systems, and other intelligent capabilities.
- Develop generative AI workflows involving prompt engineering, agents, tool use, orchestration, and agentic flows.
- Evaluate model and agent outputs, prompt behavior, edge cases, and response quality while debugging and refining solutions.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Owners, business specialists, and AI Solution Leads.
- Apply Responsible AI, security, privacy, and organizational architecture standards.
- Identify and share reusable patterns, components, and best practices for future AI Engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Practical experience building, implementing, and delivering AI or machine learning solutions used in real products, applications, or processes.
- Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals, including development, code review, testing, and debugging.
- Experience integrating AI components with applications, APIs, systems, or existing workflows.
- Broad knowledge of AI and machine learning and the ability to recognize when specialist expertise is needed.
- Experience evaluating and validating AI solutions through output analysis, testing, edge-case analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in cloud environments.
- Ability to collaborate with Product, Software Engineering, Data Science, business, and other disciplines.
- Hands-on, curious, problem-solving approach with autonomy in changing and loosely structured environments.
- Advanced English for daily work in a global environment.
- Preferred experience with AWS and Amazon SageMaker or other AWS AI/ML services.
- Preferred practical experience with generative AI, Large Language Models, AI agents, RAG, orchestration, and agentic workflows.
- Preferred experience with AI-assisted development tools, coding agents, MLOps, deployment and monitoring, APIs, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with forecasting, recommendation, optimization, NLP, or computer vision is a plus.
- Enterprise, supply chain, production, agriculture, or agribusiness experience is a plus but not required.
