Base Salary
$240k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical strategy for the domains covered beyond immediate roadmaps and team details.
- Execute ambiguous, technically complex, and high-impact projects while overcoming organizational and technical obstacles.
- Shape architecture and drive strategic direction across the engineering organization.
- Mentor and teach engineers, review designs and proposals, and review code.
- Improve engineering processes, efficiency, scalability, and overall team effectiveness.
- Serve as a role model for ownership, technical design, implementation, and participation in company culture.
Requirements
- Demonstrated outsized impact in previous roles through broad organizational leverage, foundational systems, new products or businesses, or deep frontend and UX expertise.
- Experience working at startups and scale-ups and building for increasing levels of scale.
- Strong product intuition and the ability to evaluate technical decisions through their impact on user experience and product functionality.
- Excellent empathetic communication skills across different levels of abstraction and audiences.
- Familiarity with Clay's technology stack or the ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.
