Base Salary
$213k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale backend systems and onboard modules for the Routing team.
- Design microservices, optimize routing algorithms, and work with road-network graphs.
- Build monitoring, analytics, troubleshooting, debugging, and application-profiling infrastructure.
- Optimize deployment pipelines and develop scalable real-time services.
- Collaborate with product, strategy, operations, design, PM, UX, and engineering stakeholders on product requirements and roadmap.
- Balance correctness, performance, development speed, and scalability while delivering user-focused products.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and scaling real-time server-side applications.
- Experience solving large-scale complex algorithm problems and balancing correctness with performance.
- Experience with relational, non-relational, and data-warehouse technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigTable, Cassandra, Redis, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
- Experience with RPC frameworks such as gRPC and Thrift and pub/sub systems such as Kafka, Cloud PubSub, and Celery.
- Extensive experience with cloud providers such as GCP and AWS.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, or willingness to learn them.
- Strong technical breadth, learning ability, communication skills, and judgment regarding scalable versus quick-to-implement approaches.
- Preferred experience with routing algorithms, C++ programming, ML model training and inference, map data, graph data structures, robotics, and ETA modeling.

- Base pay range is $213,480 to $319,720 for the scoped level; compensation may vary by level, experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills.
