Responsibilities
- Design and maintain core Android architecture and shared libraries.
- Develop Android developer tooling and developer experience solutions for product engineering teams.
- Work on Android build systems, observability tools, platform stability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.
- Support the Android Staff Engineer and other technology engineers on critical platform projects.
- Apply unit, integration, snapshot, and UI testing methodologies.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
- Have a deep understanding of software engineering and Android-specific principles and technologies.
- Understand and apply future-proof software architecture, design patterns, Android architecture, and Kotlin coroutines.
- Understand solution trade-offs and demonstrate attention to detail.
