Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the ASP.NET MVC Core application connected to an Oracle backend.
- Decipher, maintain, and modernize undocumented Classic ASP code across application modules.
- Write clean, documented C# and JavaScript code following DoD secure coding standards and STIGs.
- Manage code in the designated CWBI GitHub Enterprise environment and follow DevSecOps practices.
- Implement authentication using Login.gov, OpenID, and Keycloak, and build health-check endpoints for uptime monitoring.
- Participate in sprint delivery, code reviews, release demonstrations, and requirements/UI-UX analysis.
- Expose data through OpenAPI-compliant service interfaces and support the CWBI Data Strategy.
- Coordinate with the Senior Oracle DBA on query performance and data access patterns.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- An active, favorably adjudicated Tier 1 or higher federal background investigation is required before starting.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
- At least 5–7 years of full-stack or application development experience is required.
- Expertise with .NET Framework/.NET Core MVC web applications connected to Oracle databases is required.
- Mastery of maintaining and modernizing undocumented Classic ASP code is required.
- Strong proficiency in C#, JavaScript, and modern web-based UI development is required.
- Experience applying secure coding principles such as DoD STIGs is required.
- Working knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies is required.
- CompTIA Security+ or a DoD 8140-approved equivalent is required within six months of contract start.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS GovCloud, federal or DoD application development, GitHub Enterprise, modern DevSecOps toolchains, microservices architecture, and hardened container images.
- EC-Council Certified DevSecOps Engineer certification is desired for senior or lead roles.
