Responsibilities
- Define secure-by-design architectures for digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Create architecture overview documents and security architecture deliverables aligned with enterprise standards, patterns, and regulatory frameworks.
- Apply reference architectures, threat modeling, and risk-informed decision-making to secure solution design.
- Participate in architecture governance, lifecycle management, architecture reviews, risk management, agile planning, prioritization, and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with GRC, Legal, Privacy, Infrastructure, cybersecurity, and project teams to implement secure and compliant architectures.
- Review and oversee System Security Plans through control validation, evidence tracking, compliance reviews, and remediation guidance.
- Conduct security design and risk assessments for on-premises and cloud applications, platforms, and third-party services.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and architectural process and tooling improvements across the Cyber Architecture team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, or a master’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of cybersecurity experience.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, solution architecture, solution engineering, or related technical roles.
- Experience supporting complex solution development or integration projects from a cybersecurity perspective.
- Knowledge of secure system design, architecture modeling, and compliance frameworks including ISO-27001, NIST 800-171, CSF, and CMMC.
- Experience securing cloud architectures such as AWS and Azure, including identity, access management, and secure deployment patterns.
- Understanding of networking and secure connectivity concepts including routing, firewalling, and ingress/egress control.
- Strong documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience or exposure to agile or DevSecOps environments.
- Preferred experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, critical infrastructure, or other regulated industries.
- Preferred familiarity with CNAPP, CSPM, CIAM, API security, TOGAF, Sparx EA, Jira, and Confluence; certifications such as Security+, CISSP Associate, Cloud Security Architect, TOGAF, or SAFe Agilist are a plus.
