Responsibilities

Support and expand data loss prevention capabilities to protect the Coinbase ecosystem.
Execute the long-term strategy for the Data prevention program to enhance security posture.
Implement and maintain complex designs and controls across a decentralized tech environment.
Deploy Data Protection tools and technologies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrate operational efficiency in DLP Engineering & Operations using LLMs and agentic AI.
Champion automation to streamline and scale DLP operations.
Produce metrics to inform Data Protection Leadership of programmatic impact.
Collaborate with Security and Privacy Teams on data protection initiatives.
Work with engineering and compliance teams for timely remediation.
Measure control effectiveness and address changes in global laws and regulations.

Experienced security engineer in the data protection space with measurable results.
Technical acumen to solve operational issues with engineering solutions.
Direct experience testing, tuning, and implementing data prevention controls across multiple OS.
Comfortable manipulating controls for various operating systems and decentralized datasets.
Adept at creating scalable processes and leveraging ML/AI for efficiency.
Discreet and thoughtful in cross-functional risk mitigation.
Awareness of the insider threat landscape and legal considerations for sensitive data.
Experience with Insider Threat technologies like SIEM, UBA, and DLP.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven understanding of business dynamics and how Security fits into Coinbase’s strategy.
Ability to balance business needs and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates responsible use of generative AI tools in workflows.
