Base Salary
$135k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Map client workflows and define AI use cases, backlogs, and acceptance criteria with business stakeholders.
- Build prototypes and production AI applications using Python, Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, Bedrock Knowledge Bases, AWS Lambda, Amazon SageMaker, and AWS IAM.
- Develop agent workflows, retrieval and grounding, structured outputs, tool calling, APIs, evaluations, automated tests, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and error handling.
- Assess solutions for quality, safety, latency, reliability, and cost, and configure Amazon Bedrock Guardrails and related technical controls.
- Collaborate with security, privacy, risk, client engineering, and business teams to deliver and operate AI solutions.
- Provide demonstrations, feasibility assessments, delivery estimates, documentation, runbooks, knowledge transfer, and reusable engineering assets.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience building and deploying production software.
- At least 3 years of production Python experience.
- At least 3 years of AWS experience, including AWS Lambda and AWS IAM.
- At least 1 year of experience building LLM applications involving retrieval, structured outputs, tool calling, or agent workflows.
- Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders and using version control, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to travel up to 70%, typically Monday through Thursday, including on-site client work.
- Preferred qualifications include Amazon Bedrock delivery experience, production foundation-model applications, AI evaluation or observability experience, enterprise search or data pipeline experience, API or Model Context Protocol integrations, TypeScript, Java, or Go proficiency, AWS certifications, relevant industry experience, and experience mentoring engineers.
Benefits
- Salary ranges are $135,000-$170,000 for Senior Engineer and $164,000-$220,000 for Staff Engineer, plus an annual discretionary bonus.
