Responsibilities
- Lead architecture discussions and technical decision-making for complex, scalable, compliant software products.
- Mentor engineers on comprehensive test strategies, coding quality, debugging, and software engineering excellence.
- Drive security best practices, including security as code, vulnerability prevention, and incident response processes.
- Lead production deployment automation targeting zero-touch deployments and reliable runtime operation.
- Coordinate dependencies and collaboration across teams, including teams of 5–7 engineers.
- Partner with other teams on integration, scalability, performance, and live-site readiness before launch.
- Adopt AI tools and incorporate customer feedback during integration or deployment phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and operating large-scale, production-grade software systems and services.
- Strong hands-on software development experience using an object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with cloud services and distributed systems is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering initiatives and driving execution across teams of 5–7 engineers.
- Expertise in distributed systems, AI/ML infrastructure, developer platforms, or cloud services is preferred.
- Experience engaging with customers during integration or deployment phases is preferred.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
