Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and evaluate Lua code for accuracy, quality, performance, and best practices.
- Complete technical evaluations and scripting tasks involving Lua programming.
- Identify bugs, performance issues, and opportunities to improve existing code.
- Develop and modify Lua scripts based on project requirements.
- Use Roblox Studio and Roblox development environments where applicable.
- Provide technical feedback and code evaluations to support AI model training.
- Collaborate with the client's AI evaluation platform while following detailed project guidelines.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Lua scripting, debugging, code optimization, and programming fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience using Roblox Studio and/or developing applications or games on the Roblox platform.
- Strong understanding of data structures, functions, modular programming, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Ability to independently review, analyze, and improve existing Lua code.
- Professional working proficiency in English with strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed technical instructions.
- Experience developing Roblox games or interactive experiences is preferred.
- Experience with code review, technical quality assurance, software testing, debugging, or code optimization is preferred.
- Experience contributing to AI, machine learning, or code evaluation projects is preferred.

- Expected workload is 10–39 hours per week, with work volume subject to fluctuation.
- Up to $60/hour depending on project availability.
- Weekly lump-sum payments for work completed during the previous week.
- Qualified candidates receive an Upwork contract offer and onboarding instructions.
- Candidates who complete the initial survey may be invited to a paid technical evaluation of approximately 2–3 hours; approved evaluations receive $150.
- An active Upwork contract with the client is required to begin onboarding and access project tasks.
