Responsibilities
- Execute type testing, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and verification activities.
- Migrate legacy customer applications to new hardware platforms and validate software releases after porting and hardware replacement.
- Verify control algorithms, communication interfaces, diagnostics, and fault-management functions.
- Develop test specifications, execute test procedures, and prepare validation reports.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer acceptance testing.
- Perform hardware-software integration for power-electronic converters and control units.
- Use service and diagnostic tools to analyze field issues, event logs, and system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Control Systems, Power Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in embedded software development on microcontrollers, software porting, type testing, or verification and validation.
- Strong programming experience in Embedded C and real-time embedded systems, interrupt-driven architectures, firmware debugging, and low-level software development.
- Strong understanding of power-electronics control systems, including PWM control, converters, battery chargers, and digital control loops.
- Hands-on experience with CAN, CANopen, Ethernet/TCP-IP, RS232, and MVB communication protocols.
- Knowledge of Infineon C167, ST10, XC2288, or equivalent embedded platforms is preferred.
- Exposure to CPLD/PLD architectures, programmable logic, and hardware timing concepts is desirable.
- Familiarity with railway standards EN50155, EN50121, EN50128, EN50126, EN50129, and EN61373 is advantageous.
