Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack features for the Box Automate platform using Java and React/TypeScript.
- Develop and optimize scalable backend services for workflow automation across distributed systems.
- Build responsive interfaces for creating, configuring, and monitoring automated workflows.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, infrastructure teams, and engineers to define and deliver technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, engineering best practices, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to and triage production issues.
- Attend team meetings, weekly stand-ups, and manager one-on-ones.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated full-stack development expertise.
- Strong proficiency in Java and React/TypeScript, with knowledge of object-oriented design, REST APIs, and modern web development patterns.
- Experience building scalable backend systems involving database design, caching strategies, and asynchronous processing.
- Ability to assess, communicate, and complete project milestones in a time-sensitive environment.
- Fluent written and verbal English proficiency.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience with workflow automation, business process management, integration platforms, enterprise integrations, or API design.
- Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
- Preferred: experience leading cross-functional projects, mentoring junior engineers, contributing to open-source projects, or demonstrating software craftsmanship.
