Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using NestJS.
- Architect APIs, caching layers, queues, and distributed services for high-performance SaaS applications.
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems using REST APIs, with SOAP experience as a plus.
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams to deliver end-to-end product features.
- Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality, and technical architecture decisions.
- Use AI-assisted development workflows for implementation, testing, and debugging.
- Own features from design through production in a fast-moving startup environment.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building production SaaS applications.
- Strong, mandatory expertise with NestJS.
- Experience with Redis, caching strategies, and queuing systems such as RabbitMQ or equivalent.
- Strong experience with TypeORM.
- Good knowledge of Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
- Proven experience designing and integrating REST APIs and scalable asynchronous backend systems.
- Fluent English and strong communication skills.
- Ability to use AI coding assistants effectively; familiarity with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar tools is required.
- Ability to work independently with an ownership mindset in a remote-first environment.
- French language skills are preferred.
- Experience building Chrome Extensions is preferred.
- MedTech or Healthcare SaaS experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of end-to-end encryption is preferred.
- Experience integrating SOAP services alongside REST APIs is preferred.
- Mobile development experience, particularly with React Native, is preferred.
- Experience introducing AI-assisted or agentic development workflows across engineering teams is preferred.
