Senior Machine Learning Engineer [GROWTH]
HelloFreshResponsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve ML repositories, developer tooling, and workflows for scaling and deploying production ML systems.
- Evaluate and optimize the communication platform data layer and integrate the feature store for decisioning models.
- Develop scalable systems for email copy generation and context-driven image and asset retrieval.
- Build low-latency, reliable production pipelines and serving layers with observability, data reliability, and error handling.
- Partner with Data Scientists to transition experimental models into resilient production services.
- Standardize ML engineering practices, core repositories, CI/CD templates, and ML platform workflows using Databricks and MLflow.
- Monitor and scale production ML infrastructure, including input data quality, model drift, latency, and reliability.
Requirements
- Ideally 5+ years of experience building and operating production ML systems.
- Fluency with Python, Spark, and Databricks, plus working knowledge of Go, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines, model serving, and observability at scale.
- Statistical literacy for designing experiments and accurately evaluating model metrics.
- Operational judgment for diagnosing production issues, identifying root causes, and deploying robust fixes.
- Hands-on experience using Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot in a regular technical workflow.
- Product sense and the ability to connect technical initiatives to business value.
- Strong ownership and willingness to complete final implementation and delivery phases.
