Base Salary
$152k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-powered solutions for invoice coding, cash application, account reconciliations, journal-entry support, close coordination, reporting, forecasting, and decision support.
- Apply LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows to finance and accounting use cases.
- Develop pilots, validate solutions with business users, and partner with Data Services and Data Science to deploy production solutions.
- Decompose finance workflows and translate between Finance stakeholders and technical teams.
- Build evaluation frameworks, audit documentation, human-in-the-loop review workflows, exception handling, and confidence-based routing.
- Ensure financial calculations use deterministic, auditable logic rather than generative outputs.
- Create reusable AI delivery components and monitor deployed solutions for accuracy drift, performance, cost, and adoption.
- Build user-facing applications and review interfaces without relying on a separate front-end team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional engineering experience, including 3+ years designing and delivering production LLM-based applications and agentic workflows.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and experience applying AI, machine learning, or advanced automation to finance or accounting processes.
- Solid understanding of P&L structure, financial close and reporting processes, and transactional data.
- Full-stack development experience with user-facing applications and review interfaces such as React or Streamlit.
- Strong Python and SQL skills and experience with modern cloud data platforms.
- Ability to independently define scope, prioritize work, and deliver outcomes in ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and finance audiences and present to senior leadership.
- Preferred experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, MLflow, Genie, or a comparable lakehouse platform.
- Preferred experience integrating with ERP and accounting systems of record.
- Experience in a multi-unit operating business such as live entertainment, hospitality, or retail is preferred.
- A related master’s degree is preferred.
