Responsibilities
- Finalize requirements with technical personnel and team members.
- Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
- Design, develop, review, and debug software across multiple components.
- Implement continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices.
- Define and implement logging, instrumentation, and alerting requirements.
- Translate complex product requirements into software designs.
- Apply development processes, coding best practices, code reviews, and pair programming.
- Resolve complex intermediate technical issues and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Work with users and customers to translate requests into solutions.
- Develop mentoring skills and support the learning of less senior software developers.
Requirements
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Intermediate proficiency with data manipulation language, optimization techniques, data modeling, and multiple data storage subsystems.
- Proficiency with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, Node.js, React, XML, SQL, Windows, and Unix.
- Experience with Keycloak, Auth0, or another identity provider, including realm configuration, authentication flows, and OIDC client setup.
- Research skills and knowledge of software development best practices and applicable toolsets.
- Ability to finalize requirements, write and review specifications, complete complex bug fixes, and collaborate with technical resources.
- Knowledge of test-driven development.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience using Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Codex for test authoring, stub generation, coverage analysis, or test-output investigation.
- Preferred experience with Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool, Docker, and Kubernetes.
