Responsibilities
- Drive technical delivery of CatalyX Blockchain Manager and contribute to the product codebase through implementation and code reviews.
- Lead and mentor a distributed backend engineering team while maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and delivery.
- Translate product and client requirements into technical tasks, estimates, and sprint plans.
- Lead technical investigations and resolve critical issues while documenting lessons learned.
- Uphold engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Establish responsible team standards for using and reviewing AI-assisted development tools.
- Align engineering, architecture, and product stakeholders across time zones and communication styles.
- Provide actionable feedback, stabilize production incidents, and lead blameless post-mortems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience in a globally distributed development environment.
- Proven experience leading development teams while remaining an active hands-on contributor.
- Strong programming skills and experience with Java.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and enterprise integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and strong SQL skills, including PostgreSQL.
- Experience with OAuth/OIDC, including Keycloak or Auth0.
- DevOps experience with CI/CD, GitOps, infrastructure as code, and observability.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TLS, DNS, load balancing, and service-to-service communication.
- Experienced use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor, with sound judgment about their benefits and risks.
- Experience with blockchain technologies such as Canton/Daml or other enterprise blockchain frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Clear communication, effective cross-cultural collaboration, and the ability to balance speed with quality are required.
