Responsibilities

  • Design and implement database changes and interfaces for new business requirements, including the Private Pension Reform integration.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, reporting teams, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate, validate, and deliver data for reporting.
  • Maintain, enhance, and optimize the Oracle-based SIMS database application using PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and process improvements.
  • Analyze and resolve data-related business and production issues while ensuring application stability and reliable delivery.
  • Contribute to the future Snowflake-based platform, data modeling, data lineage, data quality controls, migration approach, and platform engineering patterns.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting data marts built on a Data Vault architecture.
  • Support the long-term SIMS modernization strategy through current-state analysis and future-state platform design.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Engineering, Data Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong professional experience in database engineering with deep hands-on expertise in Oracle PL/SQL and relational database development.
  • Experience designing, developing, and optimizing database objects, interfaces, stored procedures, data pipelines, data quality checks, and performance-critical data processes.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and experience working with complex data structures, preferably in financial services or regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting business-critical database applications, including production issue analysis, root-cause investigation, performance tuning, and operational improvements.
  • Hands-on Snowflake experience is strongly desirable, or demonstrated ability and willingness to develop deep Snowflake expertise.
  • Experience with areas such as Data Vault, Medallion Architecture, data lineage, data quality controls, legacy platform migration, cloud data platforms, monitoring, or observability is advantageous.
  • Ability to understand existing systems deeply and contribute to future-state platform design and modernization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to use AI tools productively while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
