Responsibilities
- Build Java microservices with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
- Contribute to microservice redesign and Java 17/21 migration.
- Develop React or Angular frontends integrated with backend APIs.
- Implement Apache Kafka producers, consumers, and dead-letter queues for event-driven systems.
- Design REST APIs with OpenAPI documentation.
- Containerize applications with Docker and deploy them on AKS or Azure App Service.
- Drive vulnerability remediation and secure coding aligned with OWASP Top 10.
- Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Write JUnit, Mockito, integration, Jest, and Cypress tests.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, dependency upgrades, CVE analysis, and Java modernization.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of software engineering experience with a strong Java focus, with the posting also specifying 4–8 years overall.
- Strong Java 11+ knowledge, including Java 17/21.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
- Production experience with microservices and Apache Kafka event-driven systems.
- React or Angular frontend development experience.
- Azure deployment experience and Docker proficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent; listed education options include BTech, MBA, MTech, and MCA, with Bachelor of Engineering required in the education section.
- Preferred experience includes gRPC, Neo4J or graph databases, AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, service mesh, DevSecOps, regulated industries, Redis, Elasticsearch, and API gateways.
- Ability to use GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent tools; apply prompt engineering; and review AI-generated code for correctness and security.
