Responsibilities
- Perform subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, subsystem integration, system integration, and testing.
- Participate in software requirements reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness reviews, and software acceptance reviews.
- Research problems and develop solutions in a collaborative team environment.
- Support the continued development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapons System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in real-time mission-critical development, maintenance, or support and related systems, tools, analysis, assurance, and integration areas.
- Experience with object-oriented design and development and design patterns.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Windows, Solaris, Linux, Solaris or other UNIX scripting, Eclipse or comparable IDEs, UML, and driver-based or automated test environments.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance or other contract-required authorization.
- Experience with ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit frameworks, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 processes, or assemblers is a plus.
