Responsibilities
- Architect production-level ML and AI workloads for customers, including agents, end-to-end ML pipelines, training and inference optimization, cloud-native integrations, and MLOps.
- Design and advise on enterprise GenAI solutions involving RAG architectures, tool-calling and multi-agent systems, guardrails, natural-language querying, evaluation, observability, and monitoring.
- Build, scale, optimize, and productionize customer AI workloads across varied domains using MLOps practices.
- Provide advanced technical support to Solution Architects during technical sales across feature engineering, training, tracking, serving, and model monitoring.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to represent customer needs, define priorities, influence the roadmap, and drive adoption of Databricks AI offerings.
- Strengthen technical expertise, mentor others, and establish thought leadership in AI.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on industry ML experience is required.
- Experience as an ML Engineer building and maintaining production-grade AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure for ML applications, including drift monitoring, or as an AI Engineer working with LLMs, agentic systems, vector databases, LLM fine-tuning, guardrails, and LLM deployment tools.
- A graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
- Experience communicating or teaching technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is required.
- Two or more years of customer-facing pre-sales or post-sales experience is preferred.
- Candidates must be able to meet technical training and role-specific outcome expectations within three months of hire.
- Candidates must be able to travel up to 30% when needed.
