Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement platform services, APIs, data models, and integrations for consent management.
- Build systems that capture, associate, retrieve, update, and honor customer consent and preferences across anonymous, email-based, and authenticated experiences.
- Establish patterns for consent records, versioning, auditability, identity association, retention, access control, and lifecycle management.
- Lead complex engineering initiatives from discovery and architecture through implementation, launch, monitoring, and ongoing operation.
- Integrate API-driven services with customer experiences, identity systems, enterprise applications, cloud data stores, and third-party consent-management technologies.
- Improve reliability through monitoring, alerting, performance analysis, capacity planning, incident response, and operational automation.
- Mentor engineers through design guidance, code reviews, technical pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in the on-call schedule and support critical production services.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating modern, multi-tier production applications and services.
- Experience independently leading complex technical initiatives involving multiple systems, teams, or organizational stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience designing and developing API-driven platforms integrating customer experiences, identity systems, data stores, vendor products, or enterprise applications.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and frameworks, with the ability to evaluate and adopt technologies based on platform needs.
- Strong understanding of distributed-systems design, including service boundaries, asynchronous processing, failure handling, scalability, resiliency, and eventual consistency.
- Experience designing data models and services requiring auditability, version history, traceability, and accurate point-in-time answers.
- Understanding of consent management, customer preferences, responsible data use, or related data-governance concepts.
- Strong knowledge of data-management principles including ownership, classification, quality, lineage, retention, access control, auditability, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, containerized workloads, and managed cloud data stores.
- Experience implementing secure service-to-service integrations, authentication and authorization controls, encryption, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
- Familiarity with security standards, dependency scanning, and vulnerability management.
- Strong communication skills for simplifying technical issues for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor engineers and model clean code, documentation, and continuous improvement.
