Responsibilities
- Design simple, modular, extensible solutions and detailed architecture for large-scale products and modules.
- Develop complex, scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Cassandra.
- Partner with Product teams to analyze customer requirements and architectural gaps.
- Drive production deployments using automated platform tools and provide functional-domain subject matter expertise.
- Analyze and improve reliability, operability, performance efficiency, security, cloud infrastructure cost, and product performance.
- Lead the team technically, provide hands-on support, and take end-to-end ownership of design and architecture.
- Perform code reviews, design reviews, regression testing, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and root-cause corrective action.
- Guide test teams through user scenarios and support teammates across development, debugging, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus four years of software engineering experience, or six years of software engineering experience.
- The role profile requests 11+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable distributed applications and platforms, particularly multi-tenant SaaS products.
- Experience building Code, Deploy, Run pipelines with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with microservices and Java web-service development using Spring Boot, Dropwizard, or an equivalent framework.
- Experience or knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ, cloud-native and microservice architecture stacks, ELK or Splunk, virtual machines, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one of Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Master’s degree in a relevant computer science or software engineering discipline plus two years of software engineering experience is preferred.
- Ability to adapt to change, multitask, influence without direct control, communicate effectively, and work with Agile Scrum practices.
