Base Salary
$183k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage and scale edge services, traffic management, and cloud networking architecture for the streaming platform.
- Design and automate secure, scalable cloud networks, including VPCs, subnets, routing, DNS, and load balancing.
- Analyze Cloudflare traffic patterns and metrics to troubleshoot delivery failures, caching conflicts, latency, routing anomalies, and connectivity bottlenecks.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code, GitOps practices, CI/CD, CDN and caching systems, and Linux-based infrastructure.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and delivery teams, lead projects to completion, guide software engineers on production best practices, and share knowledge across teams.
- Participate in on-call and developer support rotations and accommodate periodic off-hour meetings with international team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or a similar field.
- At least 8 years of experience in production-level environments, including at least 5 years directly engineering edge infrastructure and networks as a DevOps/SRE.
- Proficiency with AWS, Pulumi or Terraform, Cloudflare traffic management, DNS, CDN, intelligent load balancing, WAF, DDoS mitigation, and Zero Trust access policies.
- Experience architecting and automating secure cloud networks and resolving complex cloud connectivity issues using logs and metrics.
- Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, Linux infrastructure, AWS CloudFront, and at least two programming languages.
- Experience working with and guiding software engineers in production best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of streaming video delivery, video encoding workflows, video origin architecture, big data, payments, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security protocols is a plus.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with Datadog and GitHub Actions are a plus.
