Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and design scalable, reliable, secure cloud architectures aligned with mission objectives.
- Lead implementation of resilient, high-performance AWS cloud solutions.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and improve system capabilities and performance.
- Develop and enforce cloud governance strategies, standards compliance, and security frameworks.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
- Create, manage, and secure AWS AMIs across multiple classification domains.
- Support integration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and lifecycle maintenance with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Promote collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge sharing across technical teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph are required.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining advanced cloud solutions.
- Expertise with AWS environments supporting multiple classification domains, such as IL5 through IL6+.
- Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and EBS.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Production experience managing and securing Linux and Windows Server systems.
- Hands-on Python and Bash scripting experience for cloud automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud security practices and advanced security controls.
- Experience supporting operational environments, managing ticket queues, and using knowledge bases for issue resolution.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
- Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent 8140/8570 certification valid for at least one year.
- Relevant AWS certifications, such as Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or SysOps Administrator, are preferred.
