Responsibilities
- Manage and support Azure and AWS environments, applications, and processes.
- Collaborate with development, data, and QA teams to implement automation and best practices focused on security, scalability, and operability.
- Architect and evaluate technologies and contribute to systems design and deployment of new products and releases.
- Develop tools for rapid deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of application stacks and critical infrastructure.
- Review, handle, or escalate platform alerts within defined service-level agreements.
- Define and enforce policies and procedures for security, deployments, and cloud infrastructure.
- Plan and orchestrate migrations of data and applications between cloud providers.
- Support development teams and promote DevOps culture and practices.
- Design and deploy disaster recovery and high-availability solutions across regions when applicable.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software or engineering experience as a senior contributor.
- At least 3 years each of DevOps and Solutions experience working with Azure and AWS in production SaaS environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Azure and AWS across compute, networking, storage, databases, serverless, security, application monitoring, and spend monitoring.
- Experience architecting and building cloud networks.
- Strong scripting skills and proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with automated infrastructure provisioning such as Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker containers, orchestration tools, and configuration-management technology.
- Understanding of modernizing cloud applications and applying DevOps principles to database workloads.
- Experience implementing automated deployment pipelines and troubleshooting across code, systems, security, networking, and log aggregation.
- Ability to solve problems independently, build robust solutions, work autonomously, and collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, attention-to-detail, and continuous-learning skills.
