Base Salary
$178k - $313k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize infrastructure systems for machine learning workloads at scale while improving reliability and efficiency.
- Build feature generation and serving pipelines for online inference and offline training data generation.
- Develop high-performance inference systems and scalable cloud infrastructure for ML training, evaluation, and model serving.
- Build data management systems for scalable data collection, labeling, processing, and evaluation.
- Work with ML engineers to deploy models into production.
- Use AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows to ship scalable, secure, correct, and production-ready services.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
- Strong understanding of system performance, scalability, efficiency, distributed systems, and large-scale ML infrastructure.
- Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Ray.
- A proven track record operating highly available systems at significant scale.
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, with qualifying post-degree software development experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 5+ years or a PhD with 2+ years of post-graduate software development experience.
- Experience building large-scale production machine learning systems, distributed systems, or big data processing systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s or PhD, experience with ML training platforms or AI model inference optimization, and familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe2, Spark ML, scikit-learn, or related frameworks.
