Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support native Android applications using Kotlin, XML layouts, and the traditional Android View system.
- Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and services, including authentication, role-based access, and cross-system dependencies.
- Configure and maintain application builds, code protection, source control, and delivery processes.
- Investigate production incidents, troubleshoot and debug application issues, perform root cause analysis, and monitor platform health.
- Support application releases across testing and production environments, including planned weekend releases and urgent technical changes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on engineering standards, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in native Android development appropriate to the relevant seniority level.
- Experience working with production applications, including incidents and releases.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery model and with monitoring or observability platforms is valued.
- Coordination experience is expected for senior and lead profiles.
- Experience in regulated environments, particularly Financial Services, is advantageous.
- Technical experience with Kotlin, native Android, the Android View system, XML layouts, Gradle, code-protection technology, Jenkins, source-control platforms, SonarQube, Nexus Repository, Azure DevOps, authentication, role-based access, observability tools, and the listed collaboration platforms.
- Professional English at C1 level is mandatory; French and/or Dutch are advantageous.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, ownership, and continuous-learning capabilities.
- Willingness to participate in on-call support and planned releases outside normal business hours when required.
- Must align with CET working hours, reside in Portugal, and have legal permission to work in Portugal through a valid work permit or EU/Schengen nationality.
