Base Salary
$116k - $174k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and loading data into a data warehouse.
- Develop and manage data infrastructure using AWS cloud services and Terraform.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, autonomy engineering teams, and product teams to deliver data solutions.
- Optimize data processing systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging for data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Promote best practices in data governance, data quality, and security.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of recent professional software engineering experience focused on data-related projects.
- Proficiency in at least one data engineering programming language such as Python, Go, or C++.
- Preliminary experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Flink, or Kinesis Data Stream.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and related data services such as S3, Redshift, BigQuery, or Glue.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Preliminary knowledge of data analytics infrastructure, DBT, and visualization frameworks or tools.
- Experience building and managing data pipelines with an orchestrator such as Apache Airflow.
- Ability to develop pragmatic, scalable solutions to open-ended data problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
- Ability to communicate technical, data-driven solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Snowflake or data lake architectures, modern data stack tools and practices, and Amazon Web Services tools.
