Responsibilities
- Own frontend features end-to-end across student- and educator-facing web applications.
- Design component architecture, GraphQL query and schema boundaries, and client-state contracts.
- Debug cross-system UI issues involving GraphQL, authentication, sessions, and server/client rendering.
- Build AI-powered learning features with output validation, graceful fallbacks, and telemetry.
- Apply secure authentication, input validation, data-protection, performance, and accessibility practices.
- Maintain automated unit, component, and end-to-end tests, CI stability, staged rollouts, and production validation.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and Content Operations teams.
- Contribute reusable components, code reviews, documentation, shared tooling, and technical-debt reduction.
- Ship supporting API and schema changes when needed.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional frontend engineering experience building production web applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of web security, authentication and session handling, rendering performance, Core Web Vitals, and WCAG/ARIA accessibility basics.
- Experience designing and consuming GraphQL, REST, and WebSockets APIs.
- Experience with React Query, Redux Toolkit, or a similar client-state approach.
- Experience with Vitest or Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright or Cypress.
- Ability to use AI-assisted development tools responsibly and validate generated code.
- Practical understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Preferred experience with CSS-in-JS, component libraries such as MUI, AWS, Node.js, Auth0, AI-powered UI, shared component libraries, frontend observability, or consumer-facing products.
- Preferred familiarity with Kotlin/Java, Spring, Python, FastAPI, or Django backend services.
