Base Salary

$87k - $165k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Apply systems thinking to CONOPS development, V-model alignment, specification tree analysis, and system decomposition.
  • Perform system-of-systems software high-level design and develop subsystem and hardware/software platform interfaces.
  • Develop Software Requirements Specifications.
  • Architect, implement, test, integrate, and debug embedded real-time software in heterogeneous hardware, firmware, and software systems.
  • Collaborate with systems architects, technical leads, senior technical fellows, and cross-discipline engineering teams.
  • Participate in major design reviews including PDR and CDR.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Travel occasionally for business, up to 5%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or another STEM field and at least 5 years of prior engineering experience, or an advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with software architecture for complex systems of systems, subsystem interface design, and software system integration and testing.
  • Experience with Cameo or Enterprise Architect, MS Visio, and MOSA standards including OMS and AMS-GRA.
  • Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications in C++ or related software languages.
  • Experience with Linux, VxWorks, or other real-time operating systems.
  • Product-domain experience in RF or EO/IR sensors, electronic warfare effectors, communications, or multi-domain mission systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Preferred experience collaborating across systems, software, firmware, and hardware engineering teams.
  • Preferred experience presenting complex technical material at PDR and CDR reviews and working in system integration lab environments with physical hardware, test benches, and simulators.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum, DevSecOps pipelines, static analysis, automated build and test, CI/CD, test-driven development, Git, GitLab, and Artifactory.
  • An active and transferable Secret clearance with special program access is preferred.
