Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for targeted embedded hardware according to requirements and system-level design documents.
- Develop modern C++ software for embedded real-time operating systems.
- Evaluate interfaces between hardware, firmware, and software and assess overall system performance.
- Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, formal testing, peer reviews, and defect resolution.
- Develop software test plans, test procedures, and other technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, build prototypes, and evaluate results.
- Work with test engineers to influence test automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least six years of relevant experience, a graduate degree with at least four years of related experience, or at least ten years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least six years of experience in computer or software engineering.
- At least six years of professional C++ development experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War Security Clearance.
- Preferred experience with Greenhills RTOS, device drivers, board support packages, real-time embedded systems, and modern C++ techniques.
