Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, integrate, debug, and test embedded sensor-control software for airborne imaging systems.
- Evaluate hardware/software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system designs.
- Use OMS, UCI, XML Schema, reference designs, and other standards in product development.
- Perform unit testing, system modeling, simulation, analysis, technical investigations, and production support.
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve compatibility and interface problems between subsystems.
- Participate in specifications, architecture, design, code, integration, test, and verification reviews.
- Manage multiple projects, provide status reports and projections, and evaluate vendor capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor ’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with at least six years of related experience; alternatively, a graduate degree with at least four years of related experience.
- Experience with software development throughout the design cycle, including major design and architecture reviews.
- Experience with hardware/software integration and testing, embedded development, APIs, BSPs, drivers, OpenGL, health and status, and Linux, Windows, and QNX programming.
- Experience with C++ systems development, software/hardware co-design, distributed systems, software and computer architecture, and avionics lifecycle execution.
- DevSecOps and test automation experience using Python or similar languages.
- Preferred qualifications include Matlab/Simulink control-system modeling, embedded security and encryption, video transport and encoding, video-processing algorithms, Bash, Intel x86/ARM/FPGA/SoC platforms, GPP, GPU, embedded system design, release engineering, change and configuration management, debug/trace analysis, real-time operating systems, SELinux, software integration, and verification/validation.
- Preferred experience includes GigE Vision, H.264/265, MISB, SMPTE standards, network storage, Gigabit Ethernet, and InfiniBand.
