Base Salary
$108k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of complex software components and systems.
- Debug and troubleshoot advanced software issues and maintain detailed code documentation.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote adherence to software quality standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to define software requirements and specifications.
- Support software integration with hardware systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve software performance and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of software development experience; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Preferred experience with real-time operating systems, embedded systems, and the aerospace and defense industry.
- Preferred familiarity with C, C#, C++, HTML, Java, Python, Bash, software requirements tracking, code review, static analysis, library and artifact repositories, and automated build tools.
- Preferred knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral methodologies and experience with data structures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for the active clearance.
