Responsibilities
- Own and improve system performance, scalability, stability, and predictability under real-world conditions.
- Participate in the design and development of skeleton and stub components for integration testing.
- Develop automation utilities and scripts to reduce manual work.
- Gather and validate non-functional requirements from customers and stakeholders.
- Execute, analyze, and report performance test results, defects, and findings.
- Prepare and review performance test reports.
- Mentor team members on performance testing activities as needed.
- Participate in project stakeholder status meetings when required.
Requirements
- Require 1–3 years of experience as a Performance Tester or Performance Engineer on Java-based applications deployed on-premises or in the cloud.
- Require expertise with JMeter and hands-on experience with performance tools including Gatling and k6.
- Require familiarity with application performance monitoring, log analysis, profiling tools, performance metrics, and non-functional requirements.
- Require Linux performance commands and shell scripting experience.
- Require experience with Telegraf, Influx, and Grafana for application monitoring.
- Require experience analyzing thread dumps, garbage-collection logs, and heap dumps.
- Prefer Java and data structures knowledge, SQL, Tomcat, Netty, REST APIs, Azure or another cloud provider, Hazelcast, Redis, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
- Prefer knowledge of microservices architecture, e-commerce or retail domains, and messaging systems.
- Require strong problem-solving, communication, prioritization, independence, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure.
