Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Provide architectural leadership across a portfolio of related applications and maintain technical alignment with application architects, site reliability engineers, and delivery teams.
- Establish architecture practices, design standards, reference patterns, shared design language, and architecture decision records.
- Consult with delivery teams by reviewing designs, facilitating decisions, and guiding pragmatic technical solutions.
- Improve developer experience by removing technology and process impediments and aligning infrastructure and platform roadmaps.
- Drive responsible adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across development teams.
- Optimize application and platform costs, quantify and sequence technical-debt remediation, and include post-implementation cleanup in delivery plans.
- Provide architectural leadership during incident management and post-incident reviews.
- Align solution architecture with business drivers and NDS IT Delivery technology direction.
- Engage with Agile teams to deliver high-quality working software and pursue enterprise-wide architecture improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of software development experience with strong expertise in at least one key competency.
- 2 to 3 years of experience as a technical or development leader delivering medium- to large-scale technology solutions.
- Strong experience with Microsoft .NET frameworks, C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft IIS, web services, service-based architecture, message-based processing, relational databases, and full-stack development.
- Knowledge of secure development practices, NIST compliance, and preferably ISSO2.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD practices, architecture artifacts, ADRs, developer-experience practices, and build and deployment pipelines.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, technical debt management, application and platform cost drivers, and application integration standards.
- Hands-on fluency with AI development tooling and experience driving adoption across engineering teams.
- Experience with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong communication, analytical, relationship-building, business-context, and cross-organizational influence skills.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain a 6C Federal security clearance.
