Base Salary

$230k - $350k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Pilot integrated implementations, reference configurations, reusable test fixtures, and end-to-end examples.
  • Partner with component teams to maintain the integration baseline and resolve shared workflow, test harness, and extensibility gaps.
  • Develop and maintain automated software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop tests across autonomy components.
  • Maintain the integration layer between mission autonomy software and platform software for deployment.
  • Investigate, reproduce, instrument, and resolve failures across system boundaries, providing evidence to owning teams when needed.
  • Deploy integrated autonomy software to representative hardware and troubleshoot configuration, telemetry, interfaces, and lab or field issues.
  • Work with Flight Operations on test objectives, instrumentation, readiness, test-event troubleshooting, and post-test failure analysis.
  • Create setup guides, reference configurations, troubleshooting runbooks, executable examples, and Pilot training materials.
  • Drive autonomy reference-integration strategy and develop workflows and tooling for deployment to edge devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience from professional work, internships, research, or substantial projects building, testing, and debugging nontrivial C++ software for perception, planning, robotics, autonomous systems, or a related algorithmic domain.
  • Experience with modern C++, concurrency patterns, and diagnosing data races, deadlocks, and lifetime errors.
  • Working experience with Python for prototyping, analysis, automation, or testing.
  • Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, testing, debugging, and maintainable software design.
  • Practical experience developing and debugging software on Linux.
  • Practical experience with build or dependency management systems such as Conan or Nix.
  • Preferred: master’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar field.
  • Preferred: breadth across perception, localization, and planning; multi-agent autonomy experience; or experience applying VLMs or VLAs to planning, reasoning, tool use, or autonomous decision-making.
  • Preferred: experience delivering software for fielded, real-time, safety-critical, or resource-constrained autonomous systems, or with simulation, performance profiling, or distributed systems.
