Base Salary
$170k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design domain data models and workflows for systems of record covering parts, revisions, BOMs, change orders, and as-built records.
- Architect services, APIs, integrations, and event-driven data flows across internal applications and off-the-shelf systems.
- Build and operate full-stack applications end to end, including data models, services, APIs, workflows, and web interfaces.
- Plan and execute data migrations, parallel operations, and cutovers from off-the-shelf tools to in-house software.
- Implement observability, auditability, synchronization health, and data-quality checks as core product features.
- Own significant portions of network, infrastructure, role-based access, and security design for export-controlled data.
- Set engineering standards and technical direction across services and teams while mentoring senior and early-career engineers.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, and business-systems teams to understand workflows and deliver suitable software.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience designing and shipping production applications, services, and system integrations.
- Experience building user-facing web applications end to end, including data models, APIs, and modern front ends such as TypeScript and React.
- Deep experience with API design, event-driven architectures, and moving and transforming data between disparate systems.
- Strong knowledge of domain modeling for complex, versioned records and maintaining consistency and traceability across systems of record.
- Experience building observability, auditability, and data-quality capabilities in production.
- Cloud and infrastructure fluency, such as AWS, with strong networking, security, and CI/CD fundamentals.
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, such as Go or Python.
- Experience setting technical direction across multiple services or teams and mentoring engineers, including senior engineers.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence as required under ITAR.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with PLM, ERP, MES, requirements/ALM, or MBSE systems; off-the-shelf-to-in-house migrations; product development for engineering, manufacturing, or operations users; digital thread concepts; Go; Terraform; GitOps; CI/CD; and aerospace, defense, or other regulated hardware-driven domains.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
